grasshopper still life photograph
I was gardening the other day and found the remnants off this grasshopper(?).
I created this still life along with the remnants of this poppy seed head in the background.
figs
I spent a couple of hours yesterday walking around the neighborhood in search of fig trees. I didn’t have to go too far, there are plenty. I did the same
tour last year, but last summer there was a drought and it wasn’t a good year for the fig. This year, the trees are loaded and beautiful. I love the variety
of colors, from bright green newly forming figs, to the brown, sugary ripe ones. All the rain is good for the figs, but also for the flies and mosquitos,
they were my greatest challenge.
mushrooms? and nandina berries
I was working in my yard yesterday, cleaning things up and I noticed these, what I am going to call,
small mushrooms growing in a potted planted. I added the little green nandina berries for composition
and color.
