4 more small gouache paintings
just finished 2 more of these small portrait paintings.
they are approximately 9.5 x 8.5 inches on paper.
if you hold your cursor over the image you will see who the portrait is of.
still feel like i am learning how to use the gouache and feeling out how big i want the portrait to be on the background.
feeling like they are a little too cramped perhaps.
small gouache portrait paintings
so leon and i are in berlin for 5 weeks. i needed a project i can travel with. i brought along paper, watercolors and gouache,
and materials to collage with. back home in the studio I have been working on the new wheel paintings and started using
the internet to find certain images I wanted to work with. I discovered to my delight how wonderful that is.
if you hold your cursor over the image you will see who the portrait is of.
so why portraits? why these individuals?
this is what i think might be the case; i am in germany, i am reading about hitler, i felt the need to sit with and surround
myself with people who created beauty and spread love. individuals i respect.
ladies and gentle men.
